Notable Case Highlights
- Child Support Arrears Enforcement Against NFL Players
- Ms. Acevedo has successfully handled paternity and child support arrears cases involving NFL players. In one case, she enforced a past-due support order against a high-profile athlete, securing sole legal custody for her client, full payment of arrears, and an order requiring the NFL player to cover her client’s attorney’s fees — delivering both financial security and legal justice.
- High-Asset Case Victory with Attorney’s Fees Awarded
- In a complex, high-asset family law dispute, the opposing side alleged that Ms. Acevedo’s client owed over $200,000. She not only disproved the claim in court, but also secured a ruling in which the Judge ordered the opposing party to pay her client’s attorney’s fees — a significant legal and financial win.
- Indefinite Restraining Order for Client Safety
- Ms. Acevedo obtained an indefinite restraining order on behalf of a client and her client’s child, protecting them from ongoing harassment and threats by the opposing party. Her strategic approach and courtroom advocacy ensured long-term safety and peace of mind for her client and their family.
